I have a new hat! I am so excited to help out with our Stock and Resources community! I am looking forward to being a part of all of the fun ahead! I have a feeling that this is going to be an amazing adventure! I'll be working with our Stock and Resources CVs, Elandria and PirateLotus-Stock, who are amazing stock artists and very cool people. For my watchers who know me, and my new watchers who've recently added me, thank you! I absolutely love this community and I am honored to have an opportunity to volunteer.
Now, here's a little bit about me:
My name is Cheryl. I am a happy-go-lucky, laid back individual that just enjoys life as it comes. I am 33 and live in Missouri with my husband Todd and our two cats, Squirt and Lucky. I enjoy the outdoors, especially when it comes to camping and going on float trips. I've always thought a float trip devMeet would be ridiculously fun someday.
I admit to being a nerd and loving it. I love the science fiction and fantasy genres the most. I enjoy reading and movies among other creative endeavors. I began providing stock because I became fascinated with how artists can take an ordinary object and turn it into something extraordinary. I love it when people notify me that they've used my stock. It's like my very own un-birthday present all year long. Skill level isn't an issue, I love each and every piece that gets used!
I enjoy helping out with our community. I've been providing stock between my two accounts for some time now. I finally switched all of my stock over to this account a few years ago to keep it organized and focused. Don't be shy when it comes to contacting me! I don't bite. I love being an active part of the community, and that means getting to know you! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Here is what I look for when you suggest a Daily Deviation Feature:
- Send each suggestion in an individual note. It will help me keep track of them. Remember to send your suggestion to ONE CV only.
- Make sure the person you are suggesting has not received a DD Feature in the last 6 months.
- Make sure the piece you are suggesting fits within dA Terms of Service.
- Quality. Make sure the image isn't grainy or blurred and is at least 1000 x 1000 px as per dA Guidelines. The higher the resolution, the better!
- Is it usable as stock? Most often, heavily processed images are great as photography, but they can be difficult to use in a photomanipulation or as a reference.
- Impact. Is it one of those images that make you go wow? I want to see it too!
- Views. As a personal preference, I really enjoy seeing suggestions for people who have never received a DD, or whose piece has a surprisingly low amount of views. I will consider others, especially if it's one of those knock-your-socks-off resources.
Community Features:
Do you have a stock related contest, feature, stock group, or other dA Related event coming up or ongoing? Let me know! I will add it to my featured portions of my journal. Also, I regularly donate exclusive stock prizes, so if you need prizes for your contest, send me a note! Speaking of contests, there is an amazing contest ongoing right now at that the photomanipulators among us would love. Check it out:
That's it for now! I hope you all have a wonderful day/evening!
Love,
- Cheryl
